About HFAC

The Historical Fiction Authors Cooperative (HFAC) is a joint project of an international group of authors who first teamed up in 2010 to offer readers a selection of high-quality historical fiction e-books. HFAC membership is by invitation only, allowing us to assure the quality of the books we feature.

You can search for books by historical period—Ancient, Medieval, 16th Century, 18th Century, 19th Century or 20th Century—or by Author, or browse our entire Catalog. Author Updates

HFAC is growing fast these days with the arrival of six more American authors.

Meg North made her debut with Daniel’s Garden, set in the American Civil War. Her newest novel, The Heart of a Lie, takes place in post-Civil War Maine.

N. Gemini Sasson brings her four medieval novels: Isabeau, The Crown in the Heather, The Honor Due a King, and Worth Dying For.

Rebecca Lochlann‘s The Year-God’s Daughter is set in bronze-age Crete.

Peg Herring writes about the 16th Century—Her Highness’ First Murder and Poison, Your Grace—and the medieval periodMacBeth’s Niece.

Cheri Lasota is the author of Artemis Rising, a Young Adult fantasy set in the 19th Century Azores.

P. B. Ryan brings her six mysteries—Still Life With Murder, Murder in a Mill Town, Death on Beacon Hill, Murder on Black Friday, Murder in the North End, and A Bucket of Ashes—all set in 19th Century Boston.

V.R. Christensen has just published her first novel, Of Moths and Butterflies, set in 1881 England.

Suzanne Tyrpak, the author of Vestal Virgin: Suspense in Ancient Rome and two published collections of short stories with a contemporary focus, has just published  a second novel, Hetaera, about ancient Egypt.
